Because it’s snowing like mad this morning…

…here’s a Costa’s hummingbird on her nest at the Moorton Botanical Garden in Palm Springs.

This image was taken about a year before I started photographing wildlife in earnest, but I’m reasonably pleased with it despite the lack of sharpness around the face.

Is that nest made of dryer lint?
